Marvin Otzín

Forestry Technician

Marvin is a Forestry Technician of the Volcanoes Project in which the ICC participates.

Previously, Marvin worked for the Center for the Integral Development of Guatemala (CEDIG), developing Forestry Management Plans in the Chimaltenango and Sacatepéquez region. He also participated as a Field Facilitator in the Transforming Action Project of World Vision.

He promoted the development of workshops and training on various crops, and the accompaniment and technical advice to agricultural producers with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA).

Marvin has finished the courses of the Environmental Engineering degree of the Rural University of Guatemala. He graduated from the National Central School of Agriculture (ENCA) and has a specialization in Coaching with Neurolinguistic Programming. He speaks Spanish and Kaqchiquel at an intermediate level.
