Due that the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone is above the national territory and the influence of the eastern waves is over Guatemala, we will have rains throughout the week, and possibly until Monday.
Rains are generated because of the humidity that enters the country from both oceans. Some rains could also have electric activity, and others can occur at night. It is important to highlight that these conditions are regular for the rainy season in Guatemala.
Some recommendations issued by national authorities such as INSIVUMEH are the following: to be cautious when driving on the roads due that rains are in the forecast, landslides, sudden increase of river flows, mudflows and other situations can occur.
