The participants of the Community Adaptation to Climate Change Training from Pachalum, Quiche, visited the sub watershed of the Coton River last Tuesday May 23rd, in the watershed of the Motagua River, between Quiche and Baja Verapaz.
The fieldtrip is part of the integrated watershed management module of the training mentioned above, which is facilitated by the Private Institute for Climate Change Research ICC in that area, and that is part of the Low Emissions Development LEDs project.
In the fieldtrip, participants were able to get familiar with the actions that can be implemented in regards of integrated watershed management, such as soil protection, soil uses, and its analysis as a system.
Two groups of Pachalum participated in this trip.
