The influence of a high pressure system in Guatemala will promote temperatures to decrease in the national territory, increasing wind speed, and interacting with some rains.
These conditions are regular for the season, as Paris Rivera specialist of the ICC explains, and recommends to follow the instructions issued by authorities due to the low temperatures that have been recorded lately, since some thermometers have been close to 0 degree Celsius.
The forecast also indicates that some clouds are expected for the central areas, as well as sunny days, cold in the nights and early mornings -especially in the Central and Western Highlands. North winds could reach from 25 to 35 km/h, and maximum temperatures could be around 24°C to 26°C in Guatemala City, and 22°C to 26°C in the highlands. Minimum temperatures could be between 12°C to 14°C in Guatemala City, 1°C to 3°C in the Western Highlands.
For the Pacific regions, scattered clouds are forecasted, as well as warm and misty days. Cloudy skies in the afternoons and scattered rains with electric activity are also expected. Wind from the south east. Maximum temperatures could be between 33°C and 35°C.
The graphic shows the location of the high pressure systems (H) that promote winds to increase its speed, and temperatures to decrease in Guatemala, which is normal as the cold conditions of the end of the year begin.
