Private Institute for Climate Change Research, Guatemala. In a recent fieldtrip, the Board of Directors of the ICC visited some of the projects and activities that are being developed by the institute.
The fieldtrip was hosted last Thursday, welcoming members of the Board of Directors, as well as community leaders from Nueva Concepcion, representatives of the associated enterprises, members of the Council of the Municipality of Nueva Concepcion, and ICC staff.
The places visited during this trip were: the hydrometric station Acarigua, the Puyumate riparian forest at the Madre Vieja River, the Coyolate Biological Corridor, and the backyard fish production and tree nursery at Canoguitas, Nueva Concepcion, Escuintla. These projects are developed alongside enterprises, communities, and government agencies that work in the area. The ICC is a technical adviser for those institutions.
