In an intensive activity held on Saturday, we planted a total of 5,400 trees, which will reforest Maria del Mar Ranch, Chicacao Suchitepequez.
The reforestation activities were supported by the Ministry of Environment represented by their delegate Rodrigo Chay, students of Pedagogy from the San Carlos University Zunilito Campus, Maria del Mar Ranch, the NGO Maquina Verde, among other volunteers.
These trees are part of the one million trees goal that the ICC has established for 2018. Trees contribute to mitigate climate change since they reduce CO2, among other environmental services.
A total of 60 people joined the activity.
