The Coordination Center for Natural Disaster Prevention in Central America and the Dominican Republic (CEPREDENAC in Spanish) held the First Sub Regional Meeting with the purpose of strengthening actions with the Public-Private Sector on resilience issues against disasters. The meeting was held in the city of Santo Domingo on September 23rd to September 25th.
On the first day of the event German Alfaro, coordinator of the Risk and Disaster Management Program of the Private Institute for Climate Change Research (ICC), led the workshop for the preparation of business plans called “Businesses Road to Resilience”. He also presented the “Experience of Public-Private Partnerships on the southern coast of Guatemala” in the trainers in business plans for disaster risk reduction training workshop.
