ICC together with the farmer association “ASOBORDAS” from the Nueva Concepción Municipality in Escuintla, Guatemala, released some 3,000 juvenile fish of native species and 800 freshwater snails in the Coyolate River.

These juvenile fish and snails are reproduced at the facilities of Ingenio Pantaleon (a sugar mill) with technical advice and support from ICC.

The objective is to contribute to the conservation of aquatic biodiversity in freshwater bodies and ecosystems of the south of Guatemala.
