Project Management and Cooperation Coordinator

Oscar is currently the coordinator of the Project Management and Cooperation program of the Private Institute for Climate Change Research (ICC). He was previously the coordinator of the Sustainability of Productive Systems program (2014 to 2017).

Oscar’s professional and academic experience covers topics such as natural resource management, planning and implementation of sustainable forestry activities and rural development, project management for biodiversity conservation and protected areas financed by government and international donors. His experience also includes the development of carbon footprint estimates and environmental policies for agribusiness.

 

Oscar is a Forestry Engineer from the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, holds a Master’s Degree in Nature Conservation and Biodiversity Management from the International Master’s Program of the University of Applied Sciences SAXION of the Netherlands and the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom. He speaks English and Dutch language at a basic level.
