Capacity building on Climate Change

As part of the capacity building program of the ICC, the first climate change was carried out, focused on the Agriculture, Livestock and Food Ministry (MAGA) technicians.

The diploma course was designed with the objective of strengthening climate change and community adaptation abilities. The first session had 20 professional participants and the Eng. Martín Leal, the MAGA departmental delegate with Dr. Pablo Yax, ICC Capacity Building Coordinator program, inaugurated the event.

The formative process will consist of eight sessions that will address environmental issues, integrated watershed management, scientific data for climate change, climatic scenarios and impacts, adaptation, mitigation, among others. In addition, one of the sessions Will be practical to complement theorical knowledge about watershed in the field.
