Last Friday, 40 community leaders from San Jose Mogollon –including young leaders- concluded the Community Adaptation to Climate Change training, which graduated 40 people who now are knowledgeable about the topic.

The training was develop in this community of Nueva Concepcion, Escuintla, and was supported by Madre Tierra and La Union Sugar Mills. The formative sessions of the training course were distributed as follows: 1) integrated watershed management with focus on soil and water conservation, 2) adaptation to climate change and 3) disaster risk management, as well as three field visits.

During the closing ceremony –held at the CEDILU facilities-, participants received a diploma that certifies they coursed and approved the training.
