The Cocales Weather Station started its operation yesterday. The station is located in the Cocales Ville, Patulul, Suchitepequez. This station is the 26th of the ICC’s Station Network.
This station will generate information about temperature, solar radiation, relative humidity, rainfall, leaf wetness and wind’s speed and direction.
The information that the Cocales Station generates, along with the other 25 stations, is available free of charge through our website.
Cooperation
The Cocales Station was installed due to the cooperation between the Private Institute for Climate Change Research –ICC- and the Palo Gordo Sugar Mill. Thanks to those alliances, the ICC’s Station Network has grown, allowing us to have more meteorological information about Southern Guatemala.
