Two fieldtrips were carried out as part of the activities developed by the ICC, one with the students of Agronomy from the San Carlos University (main campus) and the second one with students of Social Work from the Mariano Galvez University -Santa Lucia Campus. Those fieldtrips aim to socialize the actions that the ICC implements in disaster risk management and community relations.

The first fieldtrip was held on Friday the 29th of September. 10 students from the College of Agronomy joined the trip that began with the research of floods that is being carried out in Antigua Guatemala, and continued to the following interest points.

The second fieldtrip was hosted last October 10th, with 10 students from Social Work, who learned about the activities performed by each program of the ICC and the actions performed to strengthen capacities at the community level.

These activities socialize the work performed by the ICC in the different research projects, contributing to communities’ adaptation, and allowing an open space to exchange communities’ experiences and to become familiar with the good practices developed in the area due to the integrated work between agro industry, communities, and government, related to risk reduction.
