Project: Drinking water for rural communities and schools based on rainwater storage. A contribution from the technological park of Santa Lucia Cotzumalguapa.

Partner organizations: Town hall of Santa Lucia Cotzumalguapa and Universidad del Valle Southern Campus (Local).
Official goals: To impulse a system of drinking water provision for communities in the countryside of Southern Guatemala based on rainwater storage, within the framework of an open technological park.
Specific goals:
- To design and install demonstrative rainwater harvesting and storage infrastructures.
- To transfer technology about water storage through trainings at different levels.
- To promote the foundation of small businesses dedicated to trade drinking water.
Location: Several communities of Santa Lucia Cotzumalguapa, Escuintla.
