The Independent Evaluation Unit of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) conducted a technical visit to the San Rafael farm in the community “El Sitio”, Patzún, Chimaltenango as part of the activities of the “Altiplano Resiliente” Project.
During the visit, initiatives carried out in the Xayá-Coyolate micro-watershed were presented as part of the Early Warning System associated with the project’s climate component.
Key outcomes included the installation and operational status of the “San Rafael-Patzún” meteorological station, the agro-climatic bulletins targeting local farmers generation, Meteorological Information System (SIM) dissemination, and the “Resiliente” mobile application.
Representatives from Palo Blanco Corporation S.A., the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Conservation Foundation for Nature (FCG), the Teresa Association, the Civil Environmental Association Xayá (ACAX), and project beneficiaries involved in the “Altiplano Resiliente” project implemented by the ICC participated in the visit.
