In the last weeks, the ICC monitored 90 community wells of the alluvial fan of the Acatenango and Fuego volcanoes, which covers the Achiguate, Acome and Coyolate basins.
This monitoring is performed periodically since May 2016 and allows ICC to have information about the current situation of the water table in the area.
Recently, the maps of March and May have been uploaded to the ICC’s website, and can be downloaded free of charge.
Monitoring wells will continue periodically in 2017.
