Currently, the ICC is working along the World Resources Institute -WRI-, in a project to research about the environmental, social and economic benefits of the restoration of riparian forests in the Coyolate and Acome basins.

Within the framework of this project, we have held two workshops with key participants from communities of Nueva Concepcion, Escuintla. The main objective of those workshops is to develop a map of actors for the selected areas and to contribute to the discussion about governance, management and usage of the riverside areas of the Coyolate River.

The project started last June 1st and will continue until October 30th , 2016.
