Private Institute for Climate Change Research, Guatemala. The Private Institute for Climate Change Research ICC sympathizes with the Guatemalan families that have been affected by the eruption of the Fuego Volcano last Sunday June the 3rd.
We state our respect and admiration to all of the volunteers, relief bodies, authorities, and people that have united efforts to seek and find survivors in the emergency area. We express our condolences and sympathy to the family, friends, and coworkers of Juan Fernando Galindo Hurtarte, contributor of CONRED, who paid the highest price by offering his life to the service of his country. We also regret the lives of all of the people that have been killed in this tragic event.
As part of our Disaster Risk Management program, the ICC is currently supporting the Emergency Operations Center. We encourage people to follow the instructions provided by official agencies such as CONRED, and other government agencies, and we ask citizens to avoid spreading non-official information
