Technicians complete Climate Change diploma program

August 04 , 2025

Two diploma programs on climate change were successfully completed in July with technicians from Chimaltenango and Sacatepéquez departments in partnership with the Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Ministry Units (MAGA) from both departments.

This process involved 51 participants and consisted of seven face-to-face sessions covering watershed management, climate change, mitigation, and climate adaptation. It included an exchange of adaptation experiences in agro-food systems in the lower Coyolate watershed.

This contributes to the climate change framework law, which calls for capacity development among key actors, thereby strengthening agro-food systems and food security for the population in these departments. Participants also strengthened their knowledge, enabling them to make more informed decisions on climate action within their activities.
