The Community Adaptation to Climate Change Training finished today in San Sebastian, Retalhuleu. This training was facilitated by the Private Institute for Climate Change Research –ICC-.
The training certified 32 community leaders in climate change, integrated watershed management, and disaster risk management. Those topics were facilitated in 12 sessions and complemented with 3 field trips.
Training those 32 community leaders wouldn’t have been possible without the support given by the Environment Management Office from the San Sebastian Municipality, the Study Opportunities Scholarship Fund of the Guatemalan Association of Sugar Producers –ASAZGUA-, and the ICC.
Diplomas were handed out to participants during the closing ceremony. Those diplomas certify that participants completed and approved the training.
