Today, 21 people finished successfully the “Community Adaptation to Climate Change Training”, which was developed in Tecun Uman, San Marcos.
Training was facilitated by the Private Institute for Climate Change Research –ICC-, in alliance with the Association of Independent Banana Producers -APIB- and HAME Group, and it consisted of three modules: integrated watershed management with focus on soil and water, climate change, and disaster risk management.
Closing ceremony was hosted today at the Ayutla’s City Hall, in San Marcos. Community leaders and HAME’s specialist who participated in the training course joined the closing ceremony along with Ever Alarcon, who represented HAME Group, Cindy Estrada representing APIB, and Pablo Yax, representing ICC.
People who finished the training today received a diploma that certifies that they participated and approved the training course.
