The Private Institute for Climate Change Research –ICC- installed the Providencia Station, located in Champerico, Retalhuleu, yesterday. This station was installed thanks to the cooperation between the Magdalena Sugar Mill and the ICC and it is the 24th of the ICC’s Weather Station Network.
The station started its operations today and it is located between the Santa Ana La Selva and San Miguel Las Pilas villages, both in Champerico, Retalhuleu.
The variables generated by Providencia are temperature, solar radiation, relative humidity, precipitation, leaf wetness, wind direction, and wind speed. Data is available through the ICC website at no cost.
