Pursuing to contribute to the protection and care of the environment, last Saturday September 22nd, 500 trees were planted in the Las Margaritas Farm, in San Francisco Zapotitlan, Suchitepequez. This activity was held to close the reforestation season in the Sis-Ican basin, which started earlier this year and planted 180,000 trees throughout the basin.
The organization of this activity was in charge of CBC alongside the Private Institute for Climate Change Research ICC, the National Institute of Forests INAB, representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources MARN, and welcomed 180 people among employees of CBC as well as their family members.
The quality time families spent together, as well as the smiles in the children while helping the planet was noticeable during the activity, which started with an introduction about how to plant those trees. The representative from INAB also explain about the care those trees need throughout their lives.
