Knowledge Manager

Elmer is a Knowledge Manager at the Private Institute for Climate Change Research (ICC).

Elmer has a Master’s of Science in agricultural meteorology from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. He also holds a degree in agricultural engineering, with a focus in tropical agriculture, which he received from the Centro Universitario del Sur Occidente (CUNSUROC) of the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala (USAC). He is a graduate of Adolfo V. Hall del Sur, where he graduated with a proficiency in agriculture.

Elmer developed the Guatemalan Sugar Industry’s System of Controlled Burns (SQC). His thesis focused on the meteorological variables that influence the performance of sugarcane in the south of Guatemala. He speaks Spanish (native) and English (beginner).
