Winds have accelerated due to the influence of a cold front that is currently located above Central America. Acceleration can be noticeable today and could affect through the middle of the week. Temperatures are also expected to slightly decrease.

Wind can reach up to 45kmh in Guatemala City, while temperatures go as low as 23°C. In the western highlands, thermometers could go as low as 3°C.

Winds guts up to 70kmh can be expected in the Pacific, mainly in Palin, Escuintla and some other canyon areas. Minimum temperatures could reach 17°C, while maximum could reach up to 35°C in the south.

The ICC is currently monitoring the artic oscillation, which allows cold air mass to separate, which are the ones that generate those cold fronts.
