The Community Adaptation to Climate Change Training that was hosted in La Blanca, San Marcos finished moments ago. 32 high-leadership people finished the training course.
The 32 leaders that participated in the training are from surrounding communities from La Blanca, San Marcos, Retalhuleu y Coatepeque (the region called Trifinio), and they broadened their knowledge in integrated watershed management, climate change, and disaster risk management.
Closing ceremony was hosted today at the local hall at the Valle Lirio Agricultural Community, and it was hosted by Gustavo Bolaños from Banasa, Juan Pablo Casteneda, director of APIB and Alex Guerra, director of the ICC.
The training was facilitated by the Private Institute for Climate Change Research –ICC-, and supported by Banasa, S.A., the Association of Independent Banana Producers -APIB-, Agroaceite, and the Asociacion Solidarista del Trifinio Sur Occidente –ASODITSO-.
