The ICC will produce around 200 plants of pine, cypress, and alder in the CEDIG -ICC Regional Tree Nursery, in Parramos, Chimaltenango.
Out of those 200k, 50k will be produce along with the Association of Farmers “La Felicidad” (Happiness), and the Guatemalan Center for Integral Development CEDIG, through the funding of the Subprogram of Small Donations of the Tropical Forests Conservation Fund, and that is managed by the Foundation for the Conservation of Natural Resources and Environment of Guatemala.
The plants produced will be used to reforest the high areas of the Achiguate and Coyolate Watersheds. Reforestation will begin at the end of May and it will be supported by local farmers.
