Pablo is the coordinator of the Capacity Development and Communications program of the ICC and also, the Coordinator of the project “Contributing to socio-ecological and resilient landscapes in the face of climate change for prosperity and family nutrition in Guatemala and El Salvador”.
Pablo has worked as a professor at the Del Valle University of Guatemala, South Campus, and at the University Center of the South West (CUNSUROC) of the San Carlos University of Guatemala. In addition, he was a private researcher for Pilones de Antigua S.A., technical advisor for the Association for Integral Development and Community Health , worked in the Regional Project for the Prevention of Vulnerability and Environmental Degradation (PREVDA by its acronym in Spanish), in the upper part of the Samalá River watershed in Guatemala, and was part of the Project for the Conservation of Superior Genetic Material of Tabebuia donnell-smithii. Rose, for its propagation and commercial development.
Pablo holds a PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. He also holds a Master’s degree in Planning and Territorial Management of Risks, Water and Environment from the University of San Carlos de Guatemala and is a Tropical Agronomy Engineer from the same university. Pablo speaks K’iche’, Spanish and English at an intermediate level.
