The authorities of the National Secretariat of Science and Technology (Senacyt) of Guatemala paid an official visit to the Private Institute for Climate Change Research (ICC). During their stay they got to know the actions that the ICC carries out for the mitigation and adaptation to Cliimate Change in Guatemala and El Salvador.
One of the projects, that the ICC presented, was the Rainwater Capture System (SCALL), which is an example of the optimization of the use of water resources through communitary adaptation measures. Senacyt authorities also learned about the operation of a meteorological station and about the contributions that it provides in the region.
The National Secretariat of Science and Technology and the management team, shared their interest in knowing the scientific investigation capacities and technological transference applied to productive development and the identification of development opportunities at the national level.
