Private Institute for Climate Change Research, Guatemala. Today we started with a new capacity building process with high school teachers from Santa Rosa, who will participate in the Training in Climate Change based in Cuilapa.
The training started today with Leonardo Cabrera and Nancy Mazariegos, both from the Ministry of Education, which is supporting this process. Pablo Yax and Ronal Perez from ICC also joined.
Participants will receive a total of 10 sessions that include a fieldtrip. A total of 37 teachers are currently participating in this process that will enhance their knowledge about the scientific basis of climate change, integrated watershed management, adaptation, mitigation, disaster risk management, and climate scenarios.
